It would be somewhat confusing if a person named Rosalina wasn't doing something colorful and refreshing. Fortunately, this described the illustrator and freelance animator Rosalina Burkova, whom we are happy to find in various projects around the world, as well as in our country. While splitting her time between London and Barcelona, looking after two cats and listening to podcasts, she managed to create wonderful images and visual worlds for brands and organizations such as Gucci, Human Rights Watch, Ultra Music, Polyvinyl Records, as well as the beers Ah Brew Works and The Wild Honey Pie. In addition to illustration, she has also worked in animation and directed videos for international artists such as ENTRANCE, Palehound, Black Coast and Blair Alise & The Bombshells. She also worked on the video for Galantis' song "Tell me you love me," which premiered a couple of days ago. There is something very liberating about her work; it always carries a special charge and her signature style, which inspires you to gaze at the horizon and get lost in a dream. Apparently we are not the only ones who have felt this…
How would you explain to a child what you do?
I paint the same picture a hundred times until it comes to life.
Who are your heroes?
Those who live casually and in the moment.

If we take a walk in your fantasy world, we will see…
Plants, naked people, water and transparency.
Tell us about some of the interesting projects you've participated in?
I did a painting for a Gucci advertising campaign and I won a Vimeo Staff Pick for my music video for Palehound's "Room," an animated love story between two women.
Do you have time for your personal projects?
Rarely, but I try to spend more and more time on them.
What energizes you at work?
The desire to see the end result, in which a whole story appears out of nothing.

Where do you encounter more challenges – as an illustrator or as an animator?
As an illustrator… With animation you have time, music, movement, change and hundreds of drawings to tell the story, whereas with illustration you only get one image.
