With an overview of the programme of events in Bulgaria in 2025 and 2026, BSBSA will open an exhibition on May 24 at Depoo Gallery.
The curated selection features artists from Bulgaria, Romania, and Serbia, exploring how the first wave of graffiti culture paved the way for future generations of street art and mural artists. The exhibition emphasizes the dialogue between past and present, showcasing how the pioneers of the 90s continue to influence today’s vibrant urban art scene.
"From Graffiti to Mural" brings together diverse artistic styles to demonstrate the enduring power of urban art to inspire, provoke, and connect communities. Visitors can trace the evolution of styles, techniques, and creative expression while gaining insight into how art reflects cultural, social, and personal narratives. Beyond aesthetics, the exhibition encourages reflection on the role of public art in shaping spaces, sparking dialogue, and challenging perceptions. This is an opportunity to witness the intersection of history, innovation, and imagination in a dynamic visual experience," the organizers share.
The accompanying events include a guest appearance by the Serbian artist Endo @514.415, who will create a mural in Sofia and lead a public presentation and workshop during the last week of May. Endo is one of the founders of the DUK Festival – a sustainable platform for contemporary mural art in Čačak, Serbia, which collaborates with international artists to create a public gallery and strengthen local communities.
The exhibition "From Graffiti to Mural" will be on display from May 24th to June 7th at Depoo Gallery. More information about the BSBSA project can be found at bsbsa.org and @bsb.streetart.
